INTRODUCTION AND BOOK OVERVIEW
Introduction – God is doing a new thing on the earth. He is calling His people to “Come up here” (Rev 4:1 NKJV). Two thousand years ago He called the Apostle John into Heaven with those words. The purpose was to show him what would take place in the last days. He wanted all Christians in every era to have a record of those events so that no matter how things looked in their day, they would know the end of the story. They would know that in the end God is completely victorious and all who die in Christ will be resurrected from the dead and receive new creation bodies at the end of Christ’s Millennial Reign. But the purpose is way beyond that. It also foretold of a remnant who would experience “the first resurrection” (Rev 20:4-6) and will receive new creation bodies before Christ’s return. They will then be taken into Heaven for the wedding supper of the lamb and return with Christ as immortals to rule and reign with Him during the Millennium. Those alive today on the earth are the first and only generation that have the possibility of coming to perfection and transfiguration in this life. “Today, if you will hear His voice” and “not harden your hearts . . . a promise remains of entering His rest” (Heb 3:15, 4:1 NKJV). Today, the Lord is calling all who will hear to pursue the path to transfiguration. Those that do, will enter His rest, receive new creation bodies at the first resurrection and rule and reign with Jesus on the earth during the Millennium.
In this last transitional generation from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age, the Lord is using those same words, “Come up here” to invite us to come where He is while we remain alive on the earth. The purpose of this invitation is very different than the purpose of His invitation to John. He invites us into Heaven to train us in how to become fully mature sons of God. The Volume 1 Text, The Pathway to Sonship: From Salvation to Transfiguration in our Sonship training program teaches the steps that will take us from salvation to transfiguration and beyond. That outlines what needs to happen in us so we can qualify to be among those that find their way back to oneness with Christ before His return. All saved Christians will eventually come to that same goal of perfection and oneness with God, but most will require another 1000 years of training before they make it.
Our Volume 1 Text teaches us the path, what must be done to make it all the way to oneness with God in this life. In this Volume 2 book, and the following Volume 3 Mysteries book, The Mysteries of Creation and the Destiny of Mankind, we will explain how that can be accomplished. We will look at the practical steps we can take to progress along that path more effectively and rapidly. In this chapter, we begin with a discussion of the central key in this process – building intimacy with God. Heaven is all about relationship. It is not what we know, but who we know and how close our relationships are with them. The primary relationships we are to focus on deepening are those with the three members of the Godhead – Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. The goal of the whole process, which accomplishes the redemption and transformation of our souls and bodies, is becoming one with God. We become one with Him by learning to live in Him. That begins with learning how to experience His manifest presence. So, wherever you are in the process of learning to live continuously in Him, the starting point is cultivating the experience of His tangible presence. Once you can experience that in some setting, for example, in highly anointed worship gatherings, you can learn how to make that occasional experience a continuous one.
It is exciting to engage the realms of Heaven. Heaven is an amazing place and there is much to learn. However, we must always remember to keep our focus on the main goal, intimacy with the Godhead. If we do not begin by establishing a close intimate walk with God, then all of our adventures in the spiritual realms are meaningless and even dangerous. Our primary goal is not to engage Heaven. Neither is it to walk in the authority and power of Jesus. Those things will come if we first build a firm foundation of relationship with our God. That takes time because we have to cultivate relationships with all three members of the Trinity. They all bring to us something different and there is great richness in learning to engage all three. As we deepen our relationship with Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit, we can begin to engage the realm of Heaven. In this Volume 2 Practicum book, we will teach you how to engage Heaven and how to develop your spiritual senses to increase your capacity to fully experience Heaven’s wonders. Finally, we will teach you how to accomplish that without falling into deception.
A NEW OPENING TO HEAVEN
From the Church Age to the Kingdom Age – We are in a transition from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age. When Adam and Eve fell, Father God set in place His plan of redemption for mankind in the form of four 2000-year ages or dispensations. These were written into the stars before Adam was created and human history has perfectly conformed to this pattern. These four ages tell the story of the post-fall history of human beings on the earth.1 We can see how they have unfolded. What is striking is how great the changes were during each of the transitions from one dispensation to the next. Each of these transitions introduced humankind to a new phase in their relationship with God and a new understanding of who they were and who they were created to be. These four transitions, including the one we have just entered, were designed by God to introduce a group of forerunners to the next phase of His master plan of redemption for all peoples of the world.
We have now entered the fourth and final transition into the last dispensation before the end of time and the restoration of the material universe to the eternity of God. The changes that mankind will experience in this last transition will be even more dramatic than those that accompanied the previous three. We have entered the last generation before the return of Christ and the beginning of His Millennial Reign. This transition will take us from the story of redemption to the story of dominion. The first three dispensations focused exclusively on God’s plan of redemption for mankind. This last dispensation will shift the focus from redemption to training mankind to rule and reign with Christ, first over the earth and ultimately over the universe.
This plan is written in the stars and written into history, but for the most part, the Church has missed it. The Church is not prepared for what is coming. She does not realize that human beings have reached another fullness of time. God’s agenda and the relationship He wants His children to walk in with Him have changed. For His plans to be fulfilled in the time frame He has ordained, a remnant must arise and within one generation learn how to engage Heaven. That will equip them to taste “the powers of the age to come” before the Kingdom Age fully comes with Christ’s return (Heb 6:5 NKJV).
The Lord is calling forth the sons of God to rise to a third level of spiritual maturity. The Tabernacle of Moses illustrates the shift from the Holy Place or the Pentecost experience to the Holy of Holies or the Tabernacles experience. The Holy of Holies or the Tabernacles experience is a picture of tabernacling with God, going to where God is and dwelling with him. That will enable them to unlock the mysteries of Heaven and walk in a new set of tools and capacities which can only be acquired in Heaven. They will use these to walk in the power to heal as Jesus did. These tools will enable them to translocate around the world on mission assignments for God. They will defeat satan’s power to deceive and torment people on the earth in the courts and councils of Heaven. They will operate in many more weapons than these, as discussed elsewhere.2
If we get on board and align ourselves with what God is doing, we can walk into the supernatural and do the impossible to save a lost and dying world. If we hear the call and answer it, we can get in on the ground floor of God’s new move. This is a case of supply and demand in Heaven’s economy. There is a great need for the sons to arise in one generation. God is pouring out great grace to enable us to attain that goal. He is not looking for great leaders. He is looking for those who will follow and obey. He is searching for those that will align themselves with His agenda and exalt Him rather than pursuing their own agendas which only exalt themselves.
This will be the rise of the nameless, faceless generation. To play an important role in this coming move of God, you will not have to be some great leader or have a great set of credentials. The whole point is learning that by ourselves we have no chance to do what God is calling us to do. It is only by grace. The real work that will enable public ministries to flourish during the end times will be done in the prayer closet and in the courts of Heaven. Everyone reading these pages is well capable of doing that because as the Bible says, God has already “raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms” (Eph 2:6 NIV). In Chapter 4, we learn how we can be in two places at once, how we can be on earth and in Heaven at the same time, just like Jesus was. That is how Jesus could say that He only does “what He sees the Father do” (John 5:19 NKJV).
Relationship– Heaven operates on the basis of relationship, love and honor. That is the culture of Heaven. If we are to learn how to engage Heaven and operate in it, we will have to start by deepening our relationships with the three persons of the Godhead – Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Relationship with God is the key to everything. In the first year of this training, that is the main task we will work on in the activations. We will learn to experience face-to-face relationships with each of them.3 That is what brings love, joy, peace, safety, glory and power. Because relationship is so important, the exercises and activations4 in this training focus on giving you the principles and the tools to enable you to begin to work on deepening your intimacy with Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Our goal is to give you something that you can continue to use daily between the teachings. They are designed to become disciplines and habits of engagement that stay with you after the training is completed.
Rebuilding Our Temple – The rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, after its destruction and the Babylonian captivity, is a picture of the rebuilding and redeeming of our souls. Our spirits were created in Heaven and lived in the heart of our Father for eons before being sent to the earth.5 We had to be tested before we could become like Father and do the kinds of things He does. So we were sent into a fallen world and inherited our ancestors’ fallen condition with no memory of our preexistence. We were born into this world without knowing that we are royalty, children of the King. Our task in this life is to find Him, choose Him and learn how to yield our “self” so completely to Him that we become one with Him.
We have reached another fullness of time and now the Lord is going to accomplish in one generation what the Church could not do in the 2000 years of the Church Age. In this transitional generation, He will do the seemingly impossible and take a remnant from our fallen state to perfection and transfiguration. He will do this by releasing His great grace.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts. “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it” (Zech 4:6-9 NKJV).
Zechariah wrote this in reference to the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. In the first year following the defeat of the Babylonian empire, the Persian King Cyrus ordered the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. The first party of Jewish exiles to return was led by Joshua the high priest and Zerubbabel, grandson of Jehoiachin, the second to last king of Judah. Shortly thereafter, King Darius, Cyrus’ successor, appointed Zerubbabel as governor over the province of Judah. In the second year of Darius’ reign, the word of the Lord came to the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to rebuild the temple. Zerubbabel accepted that word from God and organized the rebuilding of the temple. He laid the foundation and he finished it, as was prophesied by Zechariah. The capstone represents the final piece in its reconstruction and was put in place amid shouts of grace, grace. It was understood that this work was only accomplished through the grace of God.
The Parousia of Christ – There is a greater meaning to this passage. It is a picture of the rebuilding and redemption of our souls. We are the temple of God. The Father appointed and sent Jesus to rebuild our temple. He laid the foundation during His 3½ year ministry on the earth. The capstone will be put in place during the 3½ years of the Great Tribulation. These two 3½ year bookends of Jesus’ work on the earth represent Daniel’s 70th week.6 The Greek word parousia is used seventeen times in the New Testament for Jesus’ advent or second coming. In the Church calendar, advent is a season rather than a day. So it will be at “the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt 24:37 NKJV). In classical times, the Greek word parousia had two meanings. One designated the arrival of a king or emperor to publicly celebrate his glory. The second referred to a person’s material substance, property or inheritance.
As Paul Keith Davis teaches, Jesus is going to come in us before He comes for us. He teaches that the parousia of the Lord is His appearing in the transfigured sons of God. It is through the transfigured sons that Jesus will complete the redemption of mankind and defeat the kingdom of darkness. In accordance with the second definition of parousia, the transfigured sons of God on the earth in the last days will be Jesus’ material substance and His inheritance. Christ in them will complete Jesus’ assignment and save virtually everyone who remains alive on the earth. Satan will be completely disarmed and defeated. Following the devil’s defeat at the cross, the only power he has is the power that is given to him by human beings through their trades with him.7
Once the transfigured sons complete this work, Jesus will come and meet them in the air to take them to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
For the Lord himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. (1 Thess 4:16-17 NIV).
This is a picture of the rapture, which is a celebration of the victory that is declared in Heaven and on earth at the seventh trumpet judgement in the Book of Revelation. The rapture is a celebration of victory, not an escape from the wrath of God. It takes place at the end of the Great Tribulation, not before it. Paul tell us that it will occur “at the last trump” (1 Cor 15:52 KJV), the last of the seven trumpet judgements. As it was in Egypt in Moses’ day, the trumpet judgments are selective and will not affect the transfigured sons or those that dwell with them in the safe havens and Goshens they will create. Anyone who has embarked on the pathway to sonship should face the future with absolutely no fear. Fear is of the devil. Your Father has you, and if you learn to dwell in Him, He will protect you from all evil just as He promises to do in the 91st Psalm.
When the marriage supper of the Lamb has concluded, the transfigured sons will return with Jesus and the host of Heaven to rule and reign on the earth for 1000 years. Jesus speaks of His second coming with His disciples shortly before His death.
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming (parousia), and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: . . . For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming (parousia) of the Son of Man be. (Matt 24:3-4, 27 NKJV)
Lightening travels instantly and is seen over great distances. When we couple that verse with the following one from Revelation, it suggests that when He comes, He will be seen everywhere at once. “He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him” (Rev 1:7 NKJV). We do not know if that will literally happen. We do believe, however, that one meaning of these verses is that He will be seen in the transfigured sons. They will be everywhere at once. Interestingly, Peter clearly linked Jesus’ transfiguration with His second coming. “For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty” (2 Peter 1:16 NKJV). Peter is saying that the power and coming of the Lord will look like His transfiguration that they witnessed on the mountain. In other words, His coming will be prefigured and seen when the transfigured sons of God appear and publicly operate on the earth.8
Great Grace Sets the Capstone in Place – Transfiguration is the capstone, the culmination of the redemption process. That is the deeper meaning of the capstone referenced in Zechariah 4 cited above. It will be put in place with cries of “grace, grace.” Prior to Christ’s Millennial Reign, it will only be attained by a remnant through great grace. Great grace will pour out to enable us to attain each of the three steps following the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which will take us to transfiguration.9 Following each baptism, we must complete a set of tasks aimed at transforming our soul. It is the completion of those tasks that qualifies us to receive the next baptism. All of these tasks would be beyond our reach, except for the grace of God. His grace does not make it easy. His grace makes it possible.
We see an example of what this outpouring of grace will look like and how it will enable many to do what only a rare few could realize in the past. Following the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the major task is to learn to abide continuously in the manifest presence of the Lord. In years past, beginning with the Desert Fathers, that could only be attained by a few mystics after years of practicing often extreme ascetic exercises. Beginning around 1994, the Lord began to pour out the wine of the Holy Spirit. That has made it possible for many to experience the Lord’s manifest presence. This is God’s end time invitation to draw His people into a deeper relationship.
Here is another of Father’s patterns that gives us encouragement. What had been only attainable through a long practice of contemplative prayer and spiritual disciplines, is now poured out on anyone who will press in and seek the face of God. This is the pattern. At each step, the Lord will pour out a new form of grace that will make that step’s completion more easily attainable. We have reached another fullness of time and God is pouring out great grace to fill the ranks of His end time army. Grace is power, a force that equips and gives us the capacity to do what we could not otherwise do. There will be a new kind of grace poured out by God at each step. Right now, we only see the form of grace that has become available to learn to abide continuously in the Lord’s presence. Learning to constantly abide in the Lord’s tangible, manifest presence remains sufficiently demanding to discourage all but the most committed. Nevertheless, it is now readily available for all who are drawn by His love and seek to pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord.
BOOK OVERVIEW
Part I – This book is divided into three parts. Chapters 2-6 in Part I teach us how to experience God in our realm and in His. Chapter 2 sets out the importance of developing intimate relationships with all three members of the Godhead and the practical steps for making that a reality in our life. Chapter 3 teaches us how pursuing God’s presence in our realm prepares us to pursue His person in His realm. Then we look at how the Lord prepared mankind to engage Him intimately by first changing people’s image of Him from a distant, fearful God to a close, loving God. That was followed by the rise of the inner healing movement which taught people how to engage Jesus personally in memories. All of that prepared people to believe that it is both desirable and possible to engage God in Heaven. Finally, we teach a two-step process for engaging Heaven. We first go into the Kingdom of God within to engage the Lord in the garden of our hearts. Once that connection has been established, it is an easy step to engage the Lord in Heaven. In Chapter 4, we introduce a number of useful principles for accessing Heaven. These include an introduction to frequencies, the law of attraction and quantum physics. We highlight the central importance of faith, imagination and focused awareness.
In Chapter 5, we look at three different kinds of obstacles that deter people from engaging Heaven. The first is a number of common beliefs people have about themselves. The enemy implants these beliefs so people will disqualify themselves from engaging Heaven. The second is the religious spirit and other beliefs that are distracting people’s attention away from what is really important to accomplish in our day. The final obstacle we look at is the enemy’s copycat perversions of God’s symbols and truths. He does that to cause Christians to avoid not only his counterfeits but also God’s true originals. In Chapter 6, we look at how the river of life gives us an alternate picture of the redemption process than the one presented in the Volume 1 Text. We look at how the river’s path from Father’s heart to the heart of our spirit at salvation makes it possible for it to begin to flow step-by-step more fully into our soul and body. The purifying and transforming work it does, as we remove the obstacles to that flow, redeems and restores our souls and bodies. The end result, as Jesus said, is that out of our bellies “shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38 KJV) and we will transform everything around us.
Part II – The four chapters in Part II teach us how to exercise our spiritual senses. In Chapter 2, we teach about how to begin to sense and feel the presence of God until we learn to dwell in that presence. This begins to develop our sensory awareness of God and the spiritual realm. In Part II, we teach how to hear, speak and see in the spirit. In Chapter 7, we teach how to hear the voice of God. We also introduce the role that gender differences have on our abilities to use different spiritual senses to engage Heaven. In Chapter 8, we teach why speaking in tongues is the most effective way to engage the supernatural. It is woefully underutilized by most Christians. We demonstrate how to train ourselves to pray continuously in tongues while our mind is focused elsewhere. Praying in tongues for extended periods yields great benefits. Among other things, it teaches us a key skill that is necessary to learn how to engage Heaven and earth at the same time, just like Jesus did (Jn 3:13). In Chapter 9, we explain that gender and left versus right brain dominance affect people’s capacities to engage Heaven. Women and/or right-brain dominant people have an easier time seeing in the spirit and men and/or left-brain dominant people have an easier time hearing. We also explain how men and left-brain dominant people can learn to “see” in spiritual realms through an alternate brain pathway we call discernment. We examine the strengths and weaknesses of seers and discerners approaches to engaging Heaven. In addition, we learn how we can engage Jesus in Bible stories and what we can learn through that exercise. Finally, we look at what the path to full sensory perception looks like for left-brain dominant males, combining the capacities of seers and discerners, by tracing out the path of one of the leading forerunners.
In Chapter 10 we explore the power of communion to transform our souls and bodies. We peer into Catholic and Protestant traditional practices and how the church has missed the full comprehension of what communion is designed to accomplish in us. We examine Jesus’ teaching to glean a deeper understanding of why Jesus prescribed this practice for us. It has a lot to do with frequencies and the DNA of God. We end by providing some sample prayers to help us capture communion’s deeper meanings.
Part III – Four chapters comprise the concluding section of this second book in our training. We look at numerous issues that can cause us to misinterpret our heavenly encounters, fall into deception or otherwise miss the mark. In Chapter 11, we will look at the nature and purpose of our engagements with Heaven. Heaven does not operate in the same way as the material realm. Because our earthly life is all we know, we filter our heavenly experiences through the perceptual screens of time and space. That can lead us to misunderstand the nature of our encounters with the realms of Heaven. At our stage of spiritual maturity, our heavenly experiences are crafted by Father to help us change. Therefore, they are individually tailored to transform each of us and aid us in achieving our own destiny. That creates a lot of variability among different people’s heavenly experiences. We need to understand that fact to properly interpret our experiences and get the most benefit from them.
Chapters 12 and 13 focus on the problem of falling prey to the enemy’s deceptions. The closer we get to achieving oneness with God and immortality, the greater the threat we become to the enemy. That provokes the enemy’s camp to exert more effort to find ways to deceive us and lead us into error. Even the most anointed and gifted of the forerunners are not exempt from falling victim to the enemy’s deceptions. No one will be fully free from this vulnerability until they attain the Baptism of Union and can say with Jesus that “the ruler of this world . . . has nothing in Me” (John 14:30 NKJV). In Chapter 12, we will explore two of the enemy’s favorite weapons which are designed to instill fear in people – the alien menace and conspiracy theories. In Chapter 13, we will look at the weapon of fear and how it empowers the enemy and leads us into deception. We will also present a tentative list of plumb lines that we can use to test the reliability of our experiences in the realms of the spirit. The most important of these is the word of God.
In Chapter 14, we look at other kinds of problems that keep us from reaching our goal in Christ. It is not enough to avoid the enemy’s traps and deceptions. There are other things we must overcome to make it all the way to transfiguration. We look at the great failures in Moses’ and Elijah’s lives very late in their earthly ministries. In our day, such failures would be very costly for us. In their day, they were all part of God’s plan. They represent warnings for us, but for them, they represented final tests that the Lord used to bring them to perfection and transfiguration.
The Primacy of Intimacy – In the period of 2016-2017, the Lord gave John Graham and I revelations of the five baptisms and the five tasks that take us from salvation to transfiguration. Those revelations form the centerpiece of the Volume 1 Text. In the first part of 2018, the Lord gave me the key to pursue this pathway most effectively. He showed me five levels of intimacy with the Lord that take us into deeper and deeper oneness with Him.10 Oneness with God is the goal of the pathway to sonship. Pursuing intimacy at deeper levels is the key to approaching oneness.
The five steps from salvation to transfiguration take us to victory over death and the transcendent power and authority over the material realm that Jesus walked in. Most of those reading this book have already experienced the first two steps, Water Baptism for salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the next three, the Baptism of Fire, the Baptism of Union and the Baptism of Glory that take us to transfiguration and dominion over creation and the material realm. I discovered that we can begin to taste various aspects of transcendent living even before we experience one of those three baptisms. We do that by successively attaining the second through the fifth levels of intimacy in our walk with God. A number of the forerunners are already walking in that reality.
So, while we only spend one chapter on how to learn to abide continuously in the Lord’s presence, we are not done with the project of seeking intimacy with God in Chapter 2. Intimacy is the door. Without it, we will not get in. The lessons from Chapter 2 need to be worked on throughout the remainder of this training. Because our relationship with each member of the Trinity are crucial, this book and the next (Volume 3) give you the principles and tools to enable you to work on deepening your level of intimacy with Jesus, our Father and Holy Spirit. There is a pathway to intimacy that is interwoven with the steps in the pathway to sonship. These first three books together along with John Graham’s ascensions and the exercises in the study guides mark out the disciplines and practices that take us to the transcendent life in God.
1 The four ages of man from the fall to the new Heaven and the new earth are spelled out in Christopher Paul Carter’s, Cosmic Shift: A New Season of Faith, The Fig and the Vine Publishing, 2015. Chris also demonstrates that there were two prior ages from the creation of Adam to the fall. These six ages of man are also explained in Chapter 4, “The Comic Clock and the Six Ages of Man,” in our Volume 3 Mysteries book. Scott Flanagan, The Mysteries of Creation and the Destiny of Mankind, op cit.
2 See our Level I, Volume 4: End Times book forthcoming in 2022.
3 The issue of whether or not it is possible to see the face of God and live is addressed Chapter 3.
4 These exercises and activations will be found in the videos when our online training is set up and the study guides as Volumes 4 and 5 in the Level 1 training.
5 Our preexistence is discussed briefly in Chapter 2 of the Level 1 Text and in detail in Chapter 2 on understanding our origins of the Level 3 Mysteries book.
6 For an explanation of Daniels 70th week, see Chapter 11 in the Level 1 Text, The Pathway to Sonship, op cit.
7 How we trade with our enemy and give him power in our lives is explained in Chapter 3 of the Volume 1 Text and especially in the Level 2 training.
8 These end-time events are discussed in Chapter 11 of the Volume 1 Text and in greater detail in our Level I, Volume 4: End Times book forthcoming in 2022.
9 After the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there are three more baptisms that we must receive to attain transfiguration – The Baptism of Fire, the Baptism of Union and the Baptism of Glory (transfiguration). These three steps are spelled out in Chapters 8-10 in the Level 1 Text.
